Let’s get one thing straight: I’m not the guy who’s wrestled an alligator, parachuted into a monsoon, or discovered a lost city in the Amazon. But I have stared down the blinking red battery light on a camera in the middle of a desert shoot with five minutes of daylight left. It’s the same thing, right?
Creativity is my oxygen. It’s not a hobby, a job, or even a passion project – it’s the lens through which I view the world. Whether I’m behind the camera, scribbling words into a notebook, editing late into the night, or just watching how light hits a cracked sidewalk, I’m constantly in conversation with the moment. Sometimes that moment speaks back. Sometimes it asks for another take.
I’ve had the joy of turning my creative drive into a career – making still and moving images for clients I admire, with collaborators I trust, and for audiences I’m honored to engage. From commercial shoots to personal projects that live in dusty folders titled “Almost Genius,” I’ve learned that creativity doesn’t always roar. Sometimes, it whispers. Sometimes, it yells in your face at 3 a.m. with a wild idea. I’ve answered both.
My wife, Kate, and our furry gang are my grounding wire. They remind me daily that the best stories aren’t always the ones with explosions or plot twists – sometimes, they’re the quiet glances, the long walks, or the way a dog snores mid-zoom call.
I believe storytelling is a form of generosity – an offering. Whether I’m photographing a windswept coastline or filming someone’s truth, I try to honor the moment, the subject, and the audience. I’ve been lucky enough to receive awards, but let’s be honest: half the time, I assume there was a clerical error. Still, I’m grateful. Recognition is great – but connection? That’s the real prize.
Here’s what I know: crows are smarter than they look, humor is a survival tool, and no great creative work happens in isolation. Teamwork and collaboration are how we build things that matter. That’s why I’m sharing my work here – not just the polished stuff, but the process, the experiments, the what-ifs, and the “maybe-this-is-nothings” that sometimes become something.
So if you're into storytelling, creative innovation, visual voodoo (or just want to see what shiny thing I’m chasing next), welcome. Let’s build something. Let’s make the internet a little weirder, a little more beautiful, and a lot more honest.
Or better yet – let’s swim the falls.
